Office Attendance - Our roles are hybrid, however you need to travel to an office 2 days per week for this role.

We’re recruiting a Pricing Actuarial Manager based in our Edinburgh / Glasgow / Reigate office.

The role

The Pricing Manager will be predominantly looking into the model development of our Pet and Travel products (although exposure to other products is expected from time to time) with the role consisting of:

  • Developing and optimising our pricing models and supporting our external partners to deliver growth within our products.
  • Extracting and analysing data to support the business with pricing analysis and insight.
  • Monitoring performance on a regular basis and acting in an agile way to identify and react to opportunities and threats within the market.
  • Developing models for forecasting future performance.
  • Managing and developing a small team of Pricing Analysts to help deliver results.
  • Acting as a key stakeholder within the team as well as the first point of contact for commercial, finance and external partners, with exposure to the senior management team.
What you’ll bring (min exp)
  • Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing.
  • Strong analytical background with a great attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, having the ability to explain complex analysis in plain English, avoiding jargon and communicate material financial implications of modelling and analysis decisions.
  • Experience in people, supplier and stakeholder management.
We would love you to have:
  • Prior experience of using Insurance pricing and modelling software, e.g. Radar.
  • Knowledge of programming language, e.g. SAS, SQL, R.
