We’re recruiting a Pricing Actuarial Manager based in our Edinburgh / Glasgow / Reigate office. The Pricing Manager will primarily focus on model development for our Pet and Travel products (with occasional exposure to other products) and the role includes:
- Developing and optimising our pricing models and supporting external partners to deliver growth within our products
- Extracting and analysing data to support the business with pricing analysis and insight
- Monitoring performance regularly and acting agilely to identify and react to market opportunities and threats
- Developing models for forecasting future performance
- Managing and developing a small team of Pricing Analysts to help deliver results
- Acting as a key stakeholder within the team and as the first point of contact for commercial, finance, and external partners, with exposure to the senior management team
- Strong theoretical and practical understanding of Personal Lines pricing
- Strong analytical background with great attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex analysis in plain English and communicate material financial implications of modelling and analysis decisions
- Experience in people, supplier, and stakeholder management
- Prior experience using insurance pricing and modelling software (e.g., Radar)
- Knowledge of programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R
