Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of an permanent full time Finance Officer based in Edinburgh with a salary of between £29,000 - £32,000 with a amazing benefits package including a 4.5 day working week.

Role Overview

This newly created role will help the Head of Finance will the day-to-day running's of the finance function.

You will take ownership of a range of tasks including bookkeeping, payroll administration, invoice processing, monthly reporting, audits, and financial support for grants and fundraising. You’ll play a crucial role in enabling the team to operate efficiently and transparently.

Duties & Responsibilities

Maintain bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and the general ledger
Support monthly budgeting, reporting, audits, and funder submissions
Administer UK payroll, pensions, payslips, and HMRC reporting
Process invoices, receipts, and support debtor management and credit control
Ensure compliance with financial policies and assist with system improvements
Contribute to team planning and organisational development

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an individual capable of taking ownership day to day finance as well as payroll.

The key components of the role will be:

Proven experience in financial management and administration
Proficient in accounting software
Ability to manage competing deadlines and work independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
