Are you a detail-driven Finance Manager looking for a flexible 34-hour workweek and the chance to shape financial strategy?

Role and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple UK group companies
- Oversee monthly payroll for 60+ employees, including pension administration
- Manage an Accounts Administrator, overseeing sales and purchase ledger activities and supplier payment runs
- Deliver regular financial reporting, including KPIs, cash flow management, and business analytics
- Conduct bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and ad hoc financial reporting
- Submit quarterly VAT returns and assist in annual budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Implement effective cash flow management and reporting
- Establish and maintain accounting controls, systems, and processes
- Assist with stock control, customs queries, and process improvements
- Examine financial reports to ensure accurate record-keeping
- Lead annual audit preparations and produce statutory accounts in collaboration with external accountants
- Prepare R&D tax claims
- Act as the main point of contact for banking and financial compliance matters
- Collaborate with the management team to drive efficiencies and financial improvements
Required Skills and Experience:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial operations
- Strong understanding of core accounting processes, data analysis, and forecasting methods
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Experience with in a manufacturing/industrial environment
- Experienced user of Sage or similar
