Location: City of Edinburgh

VNI Finance is delighted to support our high-growth, PE-backed client in Edinburgh in recruiting a Management Accountant to join their head office finance team.

This would suit a recently qualified or soon-to-be-qualified individual who is keen to join a growing finance function with great career progression.

Role Overview
  • Own and deliver group management accounts and detailed variance analysis across multiple legal entities, supporting group‑level reporting, consolidation, and performance review.
  • Produce and present accurate KPI Reporting to senior stakeholders
  • Analyse revenue performance across all products, ensuring full and compliant recognition
  • Perform detailed cost analysis to identify trends, variances and value‑creation opportunities
  • Provide clear commentary that explains business performance to non‑finance stakeholders
  • Maintain strong financial controls across all legal entities
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards and finance policies
  • Support audit deliverables and preparation for corporate transactions
Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles
  • Model financial scenarios to inform business planning and decision‑making
Business Partnering & Collaboration
  • Build trusted relationships across the business to support operational and commercial teams
  • Challenge assumptions constructively to enhance financial outcomes
  • Lead regular performance discussions with budget holders and senior stakeholders, explaining complex financial variances, challenging assumptions, and influencing decision‑making.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of the new finance ERP system (Business Central)
  • Identify and deliver process improvements that strengthen accuracy, efficiency and control
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, analysis and workflows
Candidate Background
  • ACCA, CIMA, CA (or equivalent) qualification or Part Qualified
Package
  • Hybrid working- 2 days per week out of the central Edinburgh office
