Finance Manager – Modelling & Projects – Perm – UK-Based – Remote
We're delighted to be exclusively partnering with Learn Pro Group to recruit a Finance Manager to join their growing, PE-backed technology business.
OverviewThis is not a traditional Finance Manager role. If you're seeking a position focused primarily on month‑end reporting, team management, and producing accounts, this likely is not the opportunity for you. This role sits at the heart of a fast‑growing business, combining financial modelling, finance transformation, and project delivery to support growth, acquisitions, and strategic decision‑making across the Group.
You will inherit and develop existing Excel‑based financial models covering forecasting, budgeting, business planning, and commercial scenario analysis, with the ability to build new models where needed. You will also lead finance‑led projects including Net Suite integration for acquired businesses, timesheet/resource tracking implementation, Hub Spot and Net Suite integration, data reconciliation, and wider process improvement initiatives.
What makes this opportunity particularly exciting is the exposure to a business that is actively growing through acquisition, with potential for further M&A activity already on the horizon.
Desired AttributesWe're looking for someone who enjoys getting stuck in—a doer. Comfortable rolling their sleeves up, driving projects forward, and working across the business to get things done. You will need to be equally comfortable building financial models as you are speaking to stakeholders across Operations, Sales, and Senior Leadership teams.
The ideal person will come from an SME or PE‑backed environment and understand the realities of working in a fast‑paced business where priorities can change quickly.
Required Experience- Strong financial modelling experience, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and commercial analysis.
- Experience leading finance projects such as systems implementations, ERP integrations, process improvements, or acquisition integration activity.
- Expert Excel skills and the ability to build, adapt, and maintain complex financial models.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, confident in working across Finance, Operations, Sales, and Senior Leadership teams, communicating effectively with non‑technical audiences.
- Experience with in a growing SME, technology, software, or PE‑backed environment where agility and pace are essential.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and changing priorities.
- Ability to see the bigger picture without getting lost in unnecessary detail.
- Take ownership and initiative rather than waiting for direction.
You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team led by a Finance Director who believes in giving people autonomy, trusting them to do their jobs, and encouraging them to bring ideas and improvements to the table.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants visibility, ownership and the chance to make a genuine impact within a growing business.
