Operational Risk Capital Manager

Edinburgh, Bristol or Leeds.

Full-time; hybrid workplace – at least two days per week (or 40% of time) at an office site. Flexible working arrangements supported.

£67,023 – £74,470 per annum (base) with an extensive benefits package.

• Lead and manage the operational risk capital process for Insurance, Pensions & Investments.
• Coordinate capital inputs, govern and oversee the end‑to‑end process, ensuring compliance with Solvency II and internal policies.
• Collaborate with Risk Owners, Control Owners and Finance to collect risk, control and loss data for capital analysis and reporting.
• Provide analytical insights on capital drivers, trends and movements to support senior management decision‑making.
• Prepare and coordinate papers, reporting and governance materials for review and approval of capital outcomes.
• Serve as the primary contact for stakeholders across IP&I, Group functions and second‑line risk on operational risk capital matters.

• Senior level experience in risk management and controls.
• Knowledge of capital risk frameworks and model approaches, including Solvency II requirements.
• Strong understanding of ERMF and operational risk frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Leadership and analytical thinking, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
