The Opportunity:
The postholder will provide financial business partnering support across SRUC's academic portfolio, working closely with School and operational leadership to support planning, forecasting, resource allocation and performance management. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior academic and operational leaders, supporting financial planning, performance management and decision-making across a diverse and complex portfolio of activities. The successful candidate will support a portfolio spanning Education, Research and Farms, working with a wide range of stakeholders across one of Scotland's leading tertiary education, research and consultancy institutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Partnering:
Provide financial business partnering support to leaders across Education, Research and Farms, supporting effective financial management, planning and decision-making. Planning & Forecasting:
Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities, helping budget holders understand performance, risks and opportunities. Financial Analysis:
Deliver insightful financial analysis, management information and commentary to support operational and strategic decision-making. Business Cases:
Support the development of business cases, investment appraisals and financial modelling for projects and initiatives across SRUC. Stakeholder Support:
Build effective relationships with managers and budget holders, providing financial advice, challenge and support to improve organisational performance and financial sustainability.
Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues across Finance to support integrated reporting, planning and financial control processes. Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the ongoing development of financial processes, reporting and management information across the organisation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Fully qualified accountant with a recognised professional body (CCAB), e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA, or substantial relevant finance business partnering experience. For full person specification, download the job particular document Eligibility for Sponsorship:
