* The Role:
** A new solution for the validation and transformation of policyholder data used in actuarial modelling and assumption setting is being built.
The role plays an active part in the validation and transformation of policyholder data for actuarial modelling and assumption setting, pro-actively solving problems and communicating clearly with stakeholders. It operates with a strong sense of accountability while collaborating effectively with colleagues to maintain consistent standards and continuous improvement.
This role takes particular responsibility for owning actuarial requirements for the data transformation and validation once these are in BAU. It will also communicate known process issues and limitations with stakeholders.
This role contributes to delivering high-quality actuarial insight that supports confident decision-making and long-term value creation. As an Experienced Colleague, the position focuses on applying established actuarial techniques, analysing data, and producing clear, reliable outputs within defined guidelines.

* Main Responsibilities:
*** Deliver the specification of data transformation and validation logic to ensure that the data used in actuarial modelling, experience analysis and assumption setting is materially correct and fit for purpose.
* Use actuarial knowledge and judgement to propose simplifications to data processing or to propose accepting limitations in data based on materiality.
* Produce clear and accurate documentation to support transparency and review processes.
* Review data inputs and outputs to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency with the transformation and model specifications.
* Support the interpretation of actuarial results, presenting findings in a clear and structured way to relevant stakeholders.
* Collaborate with wider teams to ensure alignment and effective delivery of shared objectives.
* Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, or methodologies, contributing to ongoing efficiency.
** Key Knowledge,
Skills and Experience:
*** Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
* Understanding of actuarial principles and how they are applied within a business context.
* Experience working with data tools such as SQL, Python or Databricks
* Knowledge of UK Life insurance reserving including annuities and with profits
* Attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
* Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
* Collaborative approach with a willingness to support team objectives.
* Comfortable working within defined frameworks while taking ownership of deliverables.
