Join us as a Transactional Fraud Senior Manager at Tesco Bank where you will help protect customers from fraud threats through the use of fraud prevention systems and data. Help to shape the future of banking by helping to secure transactional journeys whilst creating a great customer experience. This role involves identifying and mitigating risks around third-party fraud and collaborating closely with business teams to improve processes and ways of working for safe transactional banking.

The position contributes to creating straightforward, user-friendly experiences while maintaining the safety of the customers channel of choice.

  • Experience in managing people.
  • Experience in a fraud or financial crime strategy or analytics team.
  • Experience in managing a fraud budget. Taking ownership for losses and managing a team effectively to work to this.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions to these.
  • Capability to think tactically and strategically and put forward proposals through different mediums. Consideration of risk versus reward including customer experience, commercial aspirations and risk mitigation.
  • Ability to interact with senior stakeholders and obtain positive outcomes.
Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include
  • Experience in using data analytics tools such as SAS or Python.
  • The ability to review and interpret data to enable determination of priorities and solutions.
  • Experience in using fraud detection tools such as TSYS Card Guard, Falcon or Threat Metrix.
  • Obtained a fraud or financial crime qualification e.g. ICA.

Purpose of the role

To support the Risk Function in delivering it's objective of safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by proactively identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities.

Accountabilities
  • Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services.
  • Adherence to the Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.
