Private Client Tax Senior Manager

A leading professional services firm is looking to appoint a Private Client Tax Senior Manager into its growing Scottish team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established practice with a strong reputation in the market and a diverse portfolio of high-quality clients.

The role offers responsibility for managing a varied portfolio of private clients, including entrepreneurs, business owners, high net worth individuals, families, trusts and other private wealth structures. Whilst the role can be largely compliance focused, there is significant scope to become involved in advisory work aligned to your interests and expertise.

The successful individual will oversee and develop junior team members, manage client relationships and support the wider team with business development activity.

Candidates may come from a broad private client background or possess a particular specialism, such as inheritance tax, trusts, landed estates, medical professionals, legal sector clients or other niche areas.

Key responsibilities:

- Managing a portfolio of private clients and related compliance matters

- Reviewing complex tax returns and technical work

- Mentoring and developing junior team members

- Building strong client relationships

- Supporting partners with advisory projects

- Assisting with networking and business development activities

Ideal background:

- CTA, ACA or equivalent qualification

- Strong private client tax experience

- Previous people management experience

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

- Desire to progress within a growing team
