Temporary Finance Manager

Up to £39.41 per hour depending on level of experience
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Finance Manager to join a prestigious, long-established Edinburgh business operating within the luxury retail sector
. The organisation has a strong heritage and has seen significant investment in recent years, making this a great time to join the business as it continues its next phase of growth. This is a broad, hands-on position working closely with the Head of Finance, with plenty of exposure across the wider business and its commercial operations.
- Producing monthly management accounts
- Preparing quarterly financial reports and variance analysis
- Supporting cashflow monitoring and reporting
- Overseeing sales and purchase ledgers alongside the Finance Assistant
- Managing stock reconciliations and the fixed asset register
- Supporting year-end accounts and external audit
- Assisting with VAT returns, payroll and annual budgeting
- Providing financial analysis to support business decisions
- Maintaining strong financial controls and improving finance processes
- Part-qualified or qualified-by-experience candidates will be considered
- Strong management accounting and budgeting experience
- Confident Excel and financial systems skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Someone comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Stock accounting/reconciliation experience would be advantageous
