Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate nurses to join our team, where you will play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents every day. Our nurses are at the heart of our care home, ensuring the highest quality of life for all who call it home.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Letham Park Care Home for 33.75 or 45 hours.
Our nurses are essential to creating a positive culture and environment within our care homes. They play a key role in leading the care, lifestyle, and overall wellbeing of our residents, while guiding and inspiring our teams to promote personalisation, compassion and dignity.
As a Nurse in one of our homes, your expertise will be at the forefront of supporting our residents' clinical needs whilst promoting emotional and social wellbeing. You will encourage your team to lead with a person-centred approach to all elements of care and support, to help ensure that residents are valued, cared for, listened to, and fulfilled.
We take a practical approach to quality care with the role requiring activities such as care planning, implementing and evaluating; documenting and reporting of care through our Nourish platform to ensure that each resident's care plan is accurate, personalised, and up to date with all interactions and care needs.
You will also play a vital role in mentoring and supporting colleagues and junior staff, ensuring they are supported, confident and skilled in their roles. Administering medication with the utmost care and attention, you will follow procedures to keep our residents safe. Above all, you will promote independence and encourage residents to live with purpose and maintain meaningful connection.
Responsibilities- Lead and support care, lifestyle and overall wellbeing of residents, guiding teams to promote personalisation, compassion and dignity.
- Support residents' clinical needs while promoting emotional and social wellbeing.
- Encourage a person-centred approach in all elements of care and support to ensure residents are valued, cared for, listened to and fulfilled.
- Mentor and support colleagues and junior staff, ensuring they are confident and skilled in their roles.
- Administer medications with utmost care and follow procedures to keep residents safe.
- Promote independence and meaningful connection for residents.
- Qualified Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and knowledge of professional care standards required by the NMC code of conduct; knowledge of up-to-date clinical practices.
- Aware of Health and Safety procedures required in the role and ensure they are followed.
- Ideally have experience in a similar role and in leading a multi-disciplinary team and acting as the Nurse in Charge.
