AHP Clinical Lead Falls Prevention & Management. Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership is undergoing a major redesign of how we deliver services, with a strong focus on supporting people to stay independent. This includes developing a range of integrated services and pathways to ensure fair access and meet individual needs—notably, through new Community Pathways for Falls Prevention and Management. To achieve this, we’ve recognised the need for consistent and comprehensive falls prevention and management services across the HSCP.

A standardised approach will help us meet growing health and care needs with limited resources.

We are seeking an exceptional AHP clinical lead who shares our ambition to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, dynamic and forward‑thinking individual to lead the implementation, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of the Falls Prevention & Management Pathways across integrated services health and care services in line with the partnership’s strategic aims.

You will work with clinical and professional leads, clinical teams and partners and as a team player, will be committed to working collaboratively to provide the highest standard of quality and sustainable care now and for the future.

This role covers all areas of the complex health and social care system within EHSCP. The postholder will work across integrated care pathways, focusing on shifting care from hospitals to community settings, with an emphasis on prevention and early intervention. A sound understanding of the health and social care system and knowledge and understanding of falls prevention and management in community settings will be required to develop and deliver these ambitious pathways to ensure the effective and efficient service delivery.

You should be educated to degree level or equivalent in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy leading to State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and SCQF level 11 e.g. relevant Post Graduate Master’s clinical degree or equivalent. In addition, you should have experience of clinical, professional or operational leadership and leading change within the health and social care sector.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
