Location: City of Edinburgh
Sonographer – Radiology Team, NHS Lothian
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and conscientious Sonographer to join our radiology team across NHS Lothian across multiple sites, including Western General Hospital, St John's Hospital, Simpson Maternity, Primary Care and Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Small Parts and General Ultrasound, working with a wide range of ultrasound equipment (GE, Samsung, Canon and Philips) and both outpatients and inpatient services.
Core responsibilities include cross‑site working, participating in 5‑/7‑day rosters, and providing cover for evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will broaden their experience through exposure to a variety of ultrasound scanning areas.
We welcome candidates with postgraduate qualifications, and will also consider sonographers with experience in a single clinical area or trainee sonographers with a pending PG Certificate/Diploma in Medical Ultrasound.
