• Band 6 Specialist Occupational Therapist in the orthopaedic team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE).
• 37 hours per week, permanent post.
• Opportunity to develop clinical, leadership, quality improvement and service development skills.
• Required to participate in the weekend orthopaedic 5/7 duty rota.
• Support for junior team members and deputise for the Band 7 OT in their absence.

• Provide specialist occupational therapy services in elective and trauma orthopaedics.
• Lead clinical sessions and support junior staff.
• Participate in the weekend orthopaedic 5/7 duty rota.
• Contribute to quality improvement and service development initiatives.

• Professional registration as an occupational therapist.
• Strong communication skills and excellent prioritisation and time management.
• Experience in orthopaedics preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to obtain a PVG Scheme membership/record for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult).

• Formal supervision, development opportunities and peer support from an experienced and friendly team.
• Strong network links to the hospital via bus services and an easily accessible free Park and Ride car park.
