Clinical Technologist (Clinical Engineering/Medical Equipment)
Permanent, Full Time (37 hrs/wk): 1 Post.

Band 5 (£33,247 - £41,424)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a position within the Medical Equipment Management Service at Western General Hospital, to support the delivery of a medical equipment management service.
Medical Physics is recruiting an experienced electronic / electro‑mechanical service technician, graduates or technicians from other industry to work within healthcare science as a medical equipment technologist within the Medical Equipment Management Service. You will have a degree or technical HND or equivalent qualification in an electronics or medical engineering discipline, and experience of working within an electronic servicing role. We are looking for persons who are self‑motivated and able to work effectively within a team to ensure the day‑to‑day running of the service.
Good interpersonal skills are essential, as is a flexible and methodical approach to the required tasks. This post involves travelling and working at various hospitals and clinics in Lothian.
The Medical Equipment Management service has a track record of developing staff to enhance career opportunities. With a clear focus on quality and patient services, you will join an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team and be trained to provide an equipment management service for a wide range of medical equipment. You will work across many clinical specialities, supporting the delivery of world‑class healthcare at four acute hospital sites and within the local healthcare community.
You will be self‑motivated and able to work effectively within a team to ensure the day‑to‑day running of the service.
