Position: 238345 (AJM) - Senior Information Analyst
Location: City of Edinburgh

Overview

Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership (EHSCP) is recruiting for 2 x Senior Information Analyst (permanent). The posts are based at Waverley Court (Hybrid) and are part of the Data, Analysis and Reporting team (DART).

EHSCP is made up of City of Edinburgh Council, NHS Lothian colleagues and third sector partners, delivering health and social care to keep Edinburgh healthy, cared for and safe. The aim is to deliver the right care, at the right time and in the right place, in partnership with those we support. This is an exciting time to join the team as we expand our data, analytical and intelligence capabilities to support the best outcomes for Edinburgh residents.

As Senior Information Analyst, you will report to the DART Team Leader. Two permanent posts are being recruited to build a robust analytical service that provides strategic insight, drives progress and evidences achievement across the organisation. You will be responsible for providing high quality data analysis and performance reporting, working with colleagues across the organisation on a range of services and topics.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on interpretation, analysis and translation of data to inform robust, evidence-based decision making and performance reporting within the EHSCP.
  • Provide professional advice and a support service for team members, colleagues and stakeholders using data to inform service improvements.
  • Collaborate with senior management to reflect the needs of colleagues, communities and stakeholders in data-driven decisions.
  • Work with performance and data colleagues in NHS Lothian, City of Edinburgh Council and partners.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent with numerical and statistical experience.
  • Proven ability to interpret, analyse and present complex data to enable evidence-based decisions.
  • Able to analyse complex data sets, develop potential solutions, draw conclusions and present findings accessibly to inform strategic decisions.
  • Knowledge of robust statistical methods and techniques and experience with performance reporting/measurement.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
  • These are integrated posts; successful candidates can choose between NHS Lothian employment and City of Edinburgh Council employment.
Terms, conditions and other notes
  • Salary:
    City of Edinburgh Council: £39,129-£46,023 per year; NHS Lothian: £41,608-£50,702 per year.
  • Hours:

    36 for Council; 37 for NHS Lothian.

    Contract:

    Permanent for both.
  • From 1/4/26, Agenda for Change full-time week reduces from 37 to 36 hours; part-time hours reduce pro-rata with a corresponding increase in hourly rate.
  • The term “Senior” reflects level of experience and responsibility, not age. Applications from all ages are welcome, subject to criteria.
