Location: City of Edinburgh

As a Care Worker, you will provide hands on support to residents, supporting personal care, daily routines and social engagement while promoting dignity, privacy and choice. You will join a close knit team within a safe and homely residential setting, with both part time and full time opportunities available.

You will work on a shift pattern including early and late shifts, and be required to work two out of every three weekends as part of a rota.

  • Supporting residents with personal care, mobility and daily routines
  • Promoting independence, choice and involvement in everyday activities
  • Building positive, respectful relationships with residents and colleagues
  • Providing emotional support, reassurance and companionship
  • Maintaining accurate daily records and contributing to care planning
  • Working collaboratively to ensure a safe, welcoming and well run home
About you

You will be a caring, reliable and patient individual who values dignity, kindness and respect. You may already have experience in a care setting, or be looking to start a rewarding career in social care with the right training and support. You will be a member of the SSSC, or be willing to register and work within their registration requirements, including qualification timescales, and be willing to work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care if you do not already hold this qualification.
