Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for x2 Occupational Therapy Assistants to join our friendly Occupational Therapy team at the Western General Hospital. The positions are permanent and the hours of each position will be full time.

Responsibilities

You will support the Occupational Therapists (OT's) working across a variety of in-patient hospital wards. You will work with minimal supervision to implement agreed OT plans as prescribed by the qualified OT. This will include gathering background information, carrying out a variety of practice sessions and rehabilitation tasks with patients and also making onward referrals including adaptive equipment and technology.

Having an awareness of the role of Occupational Therapy in the acute hospital setting and clearly demonstrating this in your application is essential.

You will be compassionate, have good communication and time management skills and work well within a team.

There will be a commitment to weekend working in the Occupational Therapy team at WGH as part of the 5 over 7 day working pattern.
