Work Pattern
Monday to Friday 08:30 to 16:30.
As this post is part‑time, the salary will be pro‑rata.
Responsibilities- Responsible for own Orthotist‑Led Clinic
- Assess referred patients’ orthotic needs and, either alone or in collaboration with other members of the multi‑disciplinary clinic team, prescribe and provide orthotic devices required to meet these needs
- Supervise the manufacture and procurement of orthotic devices prescribed for referred patients
- Review patients’ orthotic requirements to ensure the effectiveness and safety of devices provided
Under the supervision of the Orthotics Team Lead, this role provides a patient‑centred, clinical orthotic service to referred patients.
As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata, with a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e., child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting in post.
