Overview

NHS Lothian is recruiting a Ward Clerk at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. We aim to provide robust induction programmes, clinical education and leadership development in partnership with our Clinical Education and Training team.

To contribute to the efficient service provision within the unit.

As from 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata. The advert pay scale will not change as a result.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • PVG Scheme membership/record for the relevant regulatory group (child and/or adult) or be willing to apply through Disclosure Scotland before starting in post
  • Ability to demonstrate legal permission to work in the United Kingdom (as required by UKVI checks)
  • Willingness to participate in reasonable adjustments to recruitment practices for disabled candidates and those with long-term conditions or neurodivergence
  • Understanding that changes to criminal records checks may occur from 1 April 2025 depending on whether the role is classified as regulated
