Summary:
This 12‑month full‑time (40 hours per week) position, funded by NHS Lothian, starts in August 2026. It provides specialty experience in Nephrology and renal transplantation. The role is designed for senior trainees or post‑CCT physicians with additional interests in transplantation, dialysis, vasculitis or clinical research. Sub‑specialty interests and research blocks may be negotiated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical care within the Department of Renal Medicine.
- Participate in the renal/on‑call rota.
- Engage in translational research activities as per a negotiated job plan.
Key Requirements:
- GMC registered medical practitioner.
- License to practice.
- Completed core medical training or equivalent.
- MRCP or equivalent.
- Senior trainee in nephrology or already holding CCT in nephrology.
Salary: £45,504 – £71,550 per annum (pro‑rata)
