Position: 252873 (LF) Major Trauma Rehab Coordinator
Location: City of Edinburgh

We are looking for a Rehabilitation Coordinator for the Major Trauma Service at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. The role is 36 hours per week for a 9‑month maternity cover.

Responsibilities
  • Lead coordination of the rehabilitation pathways for all Major Trauma patients admitted to the service.
  • Ensure equity and consistency in rehabilitation provision across the major trauma centre, including Critical Care, Department of Clinical Neurosciences and the dedicated Major Trauma Ward.
  • Develop early written rehabilitation plans from admission to discharge and work closely with patients and the multidisciplinary team to identify, monitor and achieve patient‑centred goals.
  • Track and report on the Scottish Trauma Network key performance indicators.
  • Coordinate repatriation of Major Trauma patients to hospitals closer to home, collaborating with other coordinators across Scotland and beyond.
Qualifications
  • Senior clinical experience as an Allied Health Professional (AHP) within an acute or rehabilitation speciality.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and provide clinical expertise, advising and supporting patients, carers and other health professionals.
