Band 6 Midwife Opportunities in Community and Hospital-based Settings
Are you a Band 6 midwife looking to grow your career within a supportive and innovative maternity service? Midwives with less than three years of experience will be offered a rotational post to enhance their existing skillset. Midwives already working with NHS Lothian as part of the Early Career pathway are not eligible to apply for core posts until they are within 3 months of the end of their early career rotations (usually 3 years).
We have multiple full time hospital based, community based and rotational posts available.
NHS Lothian is seeking Band 6 midwives who can demonstrate competence and meaningful exposure across all areas of the childbearing continuum, including antenatal, intrapartum, community and inpatient wards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team committed to delivering high-quality, effective and person-centred care. Successful candidates will be supported through structured rotational pathways designed to further develop clinical confidence and capability across our diverse maternity settings.
