Job Overview

Obelisk House provides exceptional support in residential and dementia care. The Care & Support Assistant role focuses on helping residents maintain independence, confidence, and wellbeing.

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals to regain confidence and reach personal goals.
  • Assist with personal care, nutrition, hydration, and socialisation.
  • Provide manual handling support and assist with washing and dressing.
  • Support medication administration in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and report concerns to Shift Leader or Nurse on duty.
  • Liaise with health professionals and report incidents to senior team members.
  • Arrange and participate in arts, crafts, and stimulating activities for residents.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, respectful environment.
Shift Schedule & Vacancy Details

Two fixed, two‑week rolling rota positions, 29 hours per week each.

  • Shift Times: AM Shift 7:30am – 2:45pm; PM Shift 2:30pm – 10:00pm
  • Vacancy1 (Week1): Wednesday AM, Thursday PM, FridayPM
  • Vacancy1 (Week2): Wednesday PM, Thursday PM, FridayPM, Saturday PM, SundayAM
  • Vacancy2 (Week1): MondayAM, TuesdayAM, FridayPM, Saturday PM, SundayAM
  • Vacancy2 (Week2): MondayPM, Wednesday AM, Thursday PM, FridayAM

Both positions include weekend work.

Qualifications & Training

No prior experience required; comprehensive hands‑on training is provided, including a Care Certificate, a 2.5‑week induction, and a 2–4‑week Buddy scheme.

Applicants must have a strong desire to make individuals feel seen and cared for.
