Position: Live - In Carer (Female)

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care
    :
    Assist with personal care while promoting the client's independence, dignity, choice, and privacy at all times.
  • Daily Living Support: Provide support with meal preparation, nutrition, mobility, and household tasks in accordance with the client's care plan. Be capable and confident in managing household responsibilities.
  • Medication Support: Administer or support with medication as required, maintain accurate medication records, and follow all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Emotional & Social Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and encourage the client's participation in social, recreational, and community activities. Demonstrate a positive attitude and a friendly, approachable personality.
  • Mobility and Transport Assistance: Support the client with safe movement within the home and accompany them to appointments, social activities, shopping, or errands as required.
  • Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate care records, promptly report any changes in the client's health or wellbeing, and adhere to organisational policies, safeguarding procedures, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Professional Conduct: Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and respect at all times. Uphold data protection and confidentiality standards, attend all mandatory training, and actively participate in ongoing professional development.
Essential Skills and Qualities
  • Good cooking skills, with the ability to prepare nutritious and appetising meals.
  • Good spoken English, with strong communication skills.
  • Capable and confident in managing household duties and maintaining a safe, clean home environment.
  • Friendly, patient, and compassionate with an excellent personality.
  • Able to remain calm, adaptable, and professional, coping effectively with a wide range of situations and challenges.
  • Must be a driver and hold a full, valid UK driving licence and use their own vehicle for work-related duties, where required.
