About

The Role This is a semi-autonomous pharmacist role, where you will be the pharmacist providing Pharmacy support for Edinburgh’s community hospitals which consist of Ellen’s Glen Community Hospital (34 beds) Findlay Community Hospital (45 beds) and Ferry field Hospital (48 beds) delivering high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients undergoing rehabilitation. You will also be expected to provide some resilience cover for the Edinburgh H@H service.

While working independently as the dedicated pharmacist in the multidisciplinary team, you will also have close alignment with the wider clinical pharmacy team with Royal Edinburgh Hospital and Associated Services (REAS) and across NHS Lothian, ensuring strong professional support and development.

• Optimising medicines use through the systematic identification and resolution of pharmaceutical care issues.

• Delivering medicines information and patient counselling, ensuring safe and effective medication use post-discharge.
