Location: City of Edinburgh

Guthrie House Care Home, located in Edinburgh, provides high quality Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Respite and Palliative Care in a warm and welcoming environment. Set in the peaceful surroundings of South East Edinburgh, the home is known for its compassionate approach, strong community spirit, and dedication to delivering exceptional care.

Activities Coordinator Contract
  • £12.99 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Fridat 9AM-5PM - Although flexibility required to cover evenining activities anf occassional weekends.
  • Day shifts available
  • Paid PVG pension and uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Building strong relationships with residents and understanding their individual personalities, preferences and interests is key to success in this role. From organising group activities and celebrations to creating one to one engagement and encouraging residents to continue enjoying the hobbies they love, you will make a genuine difference to wellbeing and quality of life throughout the home.

  • A sociable, creative and naturally engaging personality
  • Strong organisational skills and confidence planning activity programmes
  • Genuine passion for working with older people and supporting wellbeing
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships and encourage participation
  • Confidence leading activities, events and group sessions

    Good communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience in activities, events, hospitality, care or customer facing roles is beneficial but not essential
