Practice Nurse

Old Mill Surgery, Viewpark Health Centre, 119 Burnhead Street, Uddingston G71 5SU

This post is for 32 hours per week. Working days and salary are negotiable, and will be dependent on experience (expected to align with NHS Scotland Band 5/6). Previous experience within General Practice or a community setting is desirable.

We are a patient centred practice serving approximately 8,000 patients, supported by 4 GP Partners and 3 salaried GPs located within Viewpark Health Centre in Uddingston. We use Vision and Docman as our clinical systems.

We are committed to supporting our staff to grow and develop in their roles. The successful candidate will be encouraged and supported to further develop their clinical skills and interests, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and training.

• Experience in Chronic Disease Management is desirable
• Experience in primary care or community nursing is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate, support and empower patients
• Ability to work autonomously whilst contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with a commitment to high quality, patient-centred care
