The Role

At the prestigious Edinburgh Caledonian Hotel, we pride ourselves on delivering outstanding service, elegance and an unforgettable experience for our guests. As a Food & Beverage Operative, you will be a key member of our team, ensuring that our service standards meet the highest expectations.

Your role will involve supporting various areas of food and beverage service, including the Bar, Restaurant, Breakfast, Room Service and Conference & Events, contributing to the smooth running of each outlet and ensuring a seamless, memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Interaction & Service:
    Warmly welcome guests, engage with them courteously and attend to their needs with professionalism and care, ensuring each interaction reflects our brand values.
  • Operational Support:
    Efficiently support the team across all service areas, from bar to restaurant and beyond, ensuring the seamless delivery of food and beverages to our guests, adhering to the highest standards of service.
  • Guest Satisfaction:
    Respond promptly and efficiently to customer queries and requests, taking ownership of any concerns or complaints with a proactive and solution‑oriented approach, always striving for guest satisfaction.
  • Communication:
    Maintain an open line of communication with both the kitchen and guests, ensuring clear and concise information exchange to guarantee smooth service delivery.

    Collaboration:

    Work cohesively within a dynamic team, ensuring a positive and cooperative work environment, and assist colleagues in delivering exceptional customer service, especially during high‑demand periods.
  • Product Knowledge:
