Lend Invest is the UK’s leading Fin Tech platform for property finance. Over the past 17 years, we have grown from just our two founders to a team of over 200 working to make property finance simple for everyone.
A workplace culture built around trying new things, getting things done, and having fun while we do it has helped us lend more than £8 billion of mortgages, put thousands of new or improved homes into the UK housing market, and successfully launch on the London Stock Exchange.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead end-to-end recruitment across our London and Glasgow offices, with a focus on commercial, operations, and technology roles. This is a 12-14 month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, can partner confidently with senior stakeholders (including SLT), and is passionate about building high-performing teams.
You will own the full recruitment lifecycle, from workforce planning and talent mapping & succession planning through to onboarding, ensuring a seamless candidate experience and consistent alignment with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Recruitment: Own and lead the full hiring process for all roles across commercial, operations, technology, and central functions, from briefing to offer, hiring talent at all levels, from apprentices through to the C-suite.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner with SLT and hiring managers to understand business needs, define role requirements, and provide market insights.
- Direct Sourcing: Leverage Linked In Recruiter and proactive headhunting to source and engage top-tier candidates without reliance on agencies.
- Process Ownership: Manage our recruitment process through Teamtailor (ATS), ensuring data accuracy, candidate experience, and pipeline visibility.
- Onboarding: Oversee seamless onboarding in collaboration with the People team, ensuring new hires are set up for success from day one.
- Employer Branding: Contribute to Lend Invest’s EVP and employer branding initiatives to attract and retain exceptional talent.
- Data & Metrics: Track and report on recruitment and people metrics (time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, DEI metrics) to inform strategy and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Best Practice: Ensure recruitment practices are compliant, scalable, and reflective of Lend Invest’s culture and values.
- Operational Excellence and Process Improvement: Drive operational excellence by reviewing and refining processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, scalability, and candidate experience.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Collaborate with the People & Talent team on a variety of cross-functional HR projects
About You
- Proven experience in a senior in-house talent acquisition role, ideally within specialist lending or financial services sectors.
- Strong track record in recruiting commercial, operations, and technology roles directly.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills; able to influence and challenge senior leaders with credibility and confidence.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to translate business goals into talent strategies.
- Hands-on experience with ATS systems (preferably Teamtailor), Linked In Recruiter, and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities with key attention to detail skills.
- Data-driven approach to recruitment; able to track metrics and use insights to optimise hiring outcomes.
- We are a small, close-knit People & Talent team, so previous experience in a broader HR or People Operations role is desirable.
