HR Administrator (Part-Time)

Hours:

25 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 9:30am–2:30pm Salary: £20,000 per annum (£30,000 FTE) Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be working with a growing business in Doncaster who are looking to appoint a HR Administrator on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for an organised and detail-focused HR professional looking to develop their career within a busy and growing business.

The role will provide a broad range of HR administrative support, covering employee records, recruitment and onboarding, payroll administration, compliance checks and general HR processes. As the business continues to grow, the successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly and employees receive an efficient and professional service. Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation and the ability to handle confidential information are essential.

Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to employees and managers across the business. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems. Assist with recruitment administration, including preparing documentation, arranging interviews and coordinating new starters. Support onboarding processes and ensure all required new starter documentation is completed. Complete pre-employment and compliance checks, including right to work and driving licence checks where required.

Prepare HR documentation including contracts, letters, forms and employee correspondence. Maintain accurate and well-organised personnel files, ensuring documentation is complete and up to date. Support the administration of monthly payroll, ensuring employee information, timesheets, absences and changes are accurately recorded. Assist with payroll queries and liaise with relevant colleagues to resolve any issues. Maintain accurate absence and holiday records. Support the administration of company policies, procedures and HR processes.

Assist with employee queries and provide guidance on routine HR processes where appropriate. Ensure HR information is handled confidentially and in line with company procedures. Assist with general HR reporting and administration as required. Identify opportunities to improve HR administration processes and introduce more efficient ways of working. Provide wider administrative support to the HR function and business as required.

Candidate Requirements Previous experience in an HR Administrator, HR Assistant or similar HR role . Good understanding of general HR administration and employee processes. Previous experience supporting or administering payroll is desirable. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Experience using HR or payroll systems is desirable. Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Professional and approachable manner with the ability to build positive working relationships. Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Trustworthy and able to handle confidential employee information with discretion. A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop. Strong administrative skills and a genuine interest in HR. We're looking for someone who is organised, reliable and detail-focused , with a genuine interest in HR and a desire to play an important role within a growing business.

You'll be responsible for keeping HR administration accurate and up to date, supporting recruitment and onboarding, assisting with payroll and ensuring employees and managers receive a professional and efficient HR service. This role would suit an HR Administrator or HR Assistant who enjoys variety, takes pride in delivering high-quality administration and is keen to develop their HR experience within a growing organisation.
