We're looking for a MI and Reporting Developer to join our Insurance Money and Services team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be at the heart of a major data transformation. Helping to redesign and redevelop how we shape, manage, and consume data across the business.
  • Influence how we work. This is a rare opportunity to shape our future standards, processes, and ways of working as we modernise our data platform.
  • Direct impact on decision making. Working within a cross functional product team, you'll help deliver insight that supports real-time business decisions in a fast paced insurance environment.
  • High visibility. You'll work closely with senior leadership, influencing how data is used across the organisation and contributing to strategic initiatives.
  • Join a growing team at a key moment. With our data landscape evolving, your ideas and expertise will genuinely shape our future.
  • Not just maintaining / building. Unlike many data roles focused on BAU, this position gives you the chance to innovate, rebuild, and rethink.
  • Make your mark. This is a role where your contributions will be visible, valued, and central to our success.
  • Access to cross functional project work and exposure to broader data transformation initiatives.
  • Continuous learning through experimentation, redevelopment, and adopting new technologies as our data strategy evolves.
What you'll be doing
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain MI and reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and other modern data tools.
  • Work closely with product teams to understand business needs and translate them into meaningful, actionable insights.
  • Support the redevelopment of existing reporting and data processes as we transition to a new Microsoft Fabric environment.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across reporting outputs.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders to present insights, gather requirements, and influence decision making.
  • Contribute to shaping new standards, processes, and ways of working within a growing and evolving data function.
We need you to have
  • Proven experience developing MI and reporting solutions, including data modelling, DAX, and visualisation best practices.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, transform, and optimise data across large and complex datasets.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or modern cloud based data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, or similar).
And if you have any of these, even better
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric components such as Lake houses, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines, or Notebook based development.
  • Knowledge of Azure services including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Synapse, or Azure Dev Ops for CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Python or other scripting languages for data transformation or automation.
  • Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and best practice approaches to metadata and documentation.

We don't expect you to tick every box, and if you feel you hit most of the brief, it's worth exploring to further develop your career here with us.
