About the RoleData Force by Trans Perfect is seeking experienced Technical Writers to support the creation and management of high-quality documentation for complex AI and data-driven projects. In this role, you will collaborate with researchers, developers, and cross-functional teams to produce clear, accurate, and accessible technical content, ensuring effective communication across the data annotation and AI development ecosystem.
Responsibilities- Communicate complex technical information clearly, accurately, and without unnecessary jargon.
- Create and maintain a variety of documentation, including conceptual overviews, procedures, example code, help center content, and FAQs.
- Serve as a communication bridge between researchers, developers, and taskers within the HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) team.
- Develop comprehensive, in-depth documentation and communications for both internal and external audiences.
- Manage and coordinate projects involving multiple junior writers, ensuring consistency and quality across deliverables.
- Lead complex, multidisciplinary programs from planning to delivery, defining requirements and timelines with internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across different offices, time zones, and regions to maintain alignment on project goals and deadlines.
- Continuously improve documentation processes and workflows to support data annotation and research initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in technical writing, instructional design, or a similar role, with a focus on creating instructions for human-in-the-loop tasks or rater platforms.
- Experience in task definition and instruction design principles and best practices.
- Experience with HTML, Python, data analysis, Markdown, or version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and translating requirements into clear, actionable instructions for the audience.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Advanced degree in Technical Communication, Instructional Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience working with large-scale human evaluation platforms, crowd sourcing, or rater-based data collection programs.
- Experience designing tasks for complex domains.
- Experience with data analysis to inform instruction improvement.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data labeling processes.
