The Role
Alts Data Operations is a newly launched team focusing on Alternatives Investment Data. The role is dedicated to capturing and updating Alternatives data to power new innovations built on a proprietary research platform that aggregates over $7 trillion in assets. It ensures timely, high‑quality data through oversight of the alternatives security master, data quality validations, and workflow management.
What You Will Do- Oversee and manage operational workflows for Alternative data processing.
- Develop and maintain effective process controls and accurate metrics to ensure quality standards.
- Partner with members of the Research team to implement and run data quality validations.
- Oversee the security master and security classification processes.
- Prior experience in the financial industry, securities modelling, post‑trade processing or trade‑surveillance systems.
- Knowledge of alternatives is a big plus.
- Detail‑oriented documentation and solid follow‑through skills.
- Track record of effective problem‑solving, self‑motivation, and strong team‑player mentality.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, custodial data providers, and internal partners.
- Technical skills preferred in Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Atlassian Jira/Confluence, SQL, Python (Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, PySpark, etc.), Databricks, Bloomberg, Pitchbook, or other financial services systems.
