The Role

We are currently seeking a Staff Product Manager to join our organisation as the lead product contributor shaping our Workflow Platform. The Workflow Platform is a foundational infrastructure investment for Addepar, acting as the critical orchestration layer that nearly every major new product initiative relies upon.

In this highly visible domain, you will be responsible for defining the vision, roadmap, and execution for the substrate that powers client-defined automation, next-generation AI agents, and internal developer tools. Your work will directly enable our users to automate how they get work done on Addepar by composing platform capabilities and maintaining execution state to form client-centric solutions.

Applicants must have, and maintain, the right to work in the United Kingdom from the first day of employment. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

What You’ll Do
  • Power Client-Defined Automation:
You will provide the engine that makes scalable, client-defined automation possible without requiring a bespoke engineering project for each use case.
  • Provide the Execution Layer for AI Agents:
You will build a reliable execution layer that allows our AI assistants to perform long-running, multi-step tasks deterministically without timing out or losing state.
  • Prioritize Ruthlessly:
Balance immediate stability improvements with long-term strategic architectural changes. You will need to effectively set expectations with stakeholders and keep the team focused on foundational platform commitments.
  • Enable Developers and Partners:
You will define and expand a shared library comprised of atomic, reusable workflow components (e.g., Retrieve Holdings, Validate Data) that eliminate the need to build custom orchestration from scratch.
  • Simplify Complex Distributed Systems:
You will build a shared, composable platform that delivers differentiated value to each persona, while maintaining architectural cohesion and efficiency.
  • Ensure Durable Execution:
You will leverage modern durable execution frameworks (like Temporal) to guarantee applications run to completion despite temporary failures.
Example Impact Areas
  • AI Agent Execution:
Build the robust infrastructure required for our next generation of AI capabilities, enabling complex, long-running portfolio queries and multi-step automated tasks to run flawlessly.
  • Task & Approval Workflows:
Launch essential workflow building blocks that address complex Enterprise client requirements, such as maker-checker processes and multi-party report approvals.
  • Global Infrastructure & Scalability:
Lead the expansion of the Workflow Platform across international regions, unlocking crucial compliance and onboarding workflows for our global client base.
  • Client-Defined Orchestration:
Release intuitive workflow building capabilities to clients, empowering them to define, customize, and monitor end-to-end process orchestrations directly within Addepar.
Who You Are
  • Experience:

Extensive product management experience, preferably dealing with developer-facing products, platform infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Platform Mindset:
You understand the difference between building an isolated application and building the foundational platform that powers an ecosystem. You excel at providing developers with the tools and services needed to build end-to-end processes.
  • Technical Fluency:
You are comfortable navigating distributed systems, state machines, and…
