Squad Technical Lead

Oversee all technical aspects of squad delivery. Work closely with the Product Owner and Scrum Master to manage day‑to‑day task execution, ensuring prioritised backlog items are delivered with a balanced focus on business‑led features and support and maintenance.

  • Partner with the Product Owner to keep the squad focused on the right outcomes and incorporate technical considerations.
  • Communicate progress and value to key stakeholders.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise and contribute to planning, estimation, and skill development.
  • Own solution design for the squad’s product set.
  • Align cross‑squad, tribe, and team technical matters with the architectural CoE roadmap.
  • Understand the product backlog, manage technical implications and dependencies.
  • Track squad progress and sign off all design decisions, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and architectural standards.
  • Guarantee quality of releases into production.
  • Remove technical blockers and guide the team through troubleshooting.
  • Identify, address, and mitigate risks and issues related to delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the SDLC in partnership with the Dev Sec Ops  Platform Team.
Skills & Experience
  • Business Knowledge (beneficial):
    Understanding of the asset‑management business, core objectives of the Asset Management Tribe, and squad-level objectives.
  • Technical

    Experience:

    Strong knowledge of software design and development in a test‑driven environment.
  • Microsoft stack proficiency:
    Azure Dev Ops, Git (branching, pull requests, best practices).
  • Automation: CI/CD, workflows, hooks.
  • Leadership:
    Ability to lead, motivate, and line‑manage a team of technology professionals; coaching, mentoring, and supporting professional development.
  • Communication & Interpersonal:
    Excellent communication, organisational, time‑management, problem‑solving, and influence skills.
  • Adaptability:
    Curiosity about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
  • Detail‑orientation and independent prioritisation as part of a team.
