IBM MQ Specialist – z​/OS Platform

• Proficient with IBM MQ on z/OS.
• Knowledge of how to configure and administer MQ in the z/OS platform.
• Experience with installation, patching, configuring, and problem determination for IBM MQ on z/OS.
• Experience and capability in dealing with vendors for problem and incident determination.
• Experience using SSL and managing it within the MQ environment.
• Proficient in data transfer to and from host systems.
• Experience configuring security, defining Queue Sharing Groups, and gathering and analysing statistics and accounting data for performance tuning.
• Experience troubleshooting and performance tuning of Message Queue applications.
• Ability to provide 24x7 on-call support and support out-of-hours changes as required.

We are offering a contract role for an IBM MQ Specialist focused on the z/OS platform. This is an inside IR35 position based in Edinburgh, Scotland, with a hybrid working arrangement requiring 2 to 3 days onsite each week.
