Our Client has a requirement for an IT Support Consultant
, who will be required to work on a 12 month contract basis in Edinburgh.
- Provide critical IT support to business users, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations
- Deliver desktop hardware and software support across a global user base
- Manage incidents and service requests through a ticketing management system
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and continuous improvement of end-user technology services
- Contribute to innovation and development projects to enhance IT support delivery
- Configure, deploy, image, and upgrade desktop and laptop hardware
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications and standard desktop packages
- Monitor systems and respond to Service Desk incidents and requests
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues both remotely and onsite
- Liaise with third-party maintenance providers when required
- Provide high levels of customer service and technical support to end users
- Support emergency response activities outside normal business hours when required
- Travel to other office locations to provide onsite technical support as necessary
- Participate in IT improvement initiatives and project work
- Proven experience in an IT support position with extensive customer-facing support responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience supporting users both remotely and in person
- CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness and ability to travel when required
- Experience using Service Now or a similar ticketing/service management system
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (desirable)
