of the Role:

You'll help deliver transformational change across Scotland's justice system, working on nationally significant programmes that improve services for citizens, victims, witnesses, jurors and justice partners. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you'll contribute to the design and delivery of innovative, person-centred solutions that make justice services more accessible, efficient and responsive to the needs of modern society.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Service Delivery
  • Delivery of agile strategic projects/portfolios associated with the SCTS Strategy and Annual Business Plan.
  • Line management of delivery resources and teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the other Strategic Partners to support the senior stakeholders in delivering the objectives set out in the SCTS Annual Business Plan.
  • Ensure an integrated way of working across using the Load Framework.
  • Ensure governance documentation complies with the standard Agile load delivery methodology and supports effective collaborative working across relevant business units.
  • Lead planning and schedule management activities, ensuring strategic projects are effectively managed, delivered to agreed timescales and supported by appropriate business change and engagement activity.
  • Oversee all aspects of Agile Strategic delivery.
  • Support the development and monitoring of the roadmap and requirements.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies for projects and other change initiatives.
  • Monitor targets, performance indicators and local statistical information through analysis of data and review of systems and procedures. Take appropriate action where necessary to improve outcomes and barriers to delivery.
  • Prepare and present project dashboards and progress reports to stakeholders, escalating risks, issues and change requests where required.
  • Represent the projects at key meetings such as Executive Change Board and Executive Action Boards.
  • Analyse project outcomes and performance metrics to assess effectiveness, identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Manage the expectations and requirements of all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support budget monitoring and control activities, identifying issues, developing solutions and producing project management report as required.
  • Develop and maintain a network of effective working relationships with other organisations and suppliers across the justice system.
  • Demonstrate experience working in Agile, and an awareness of Agile tools and how to use them. Advise colleagues on how and why Agile methods are used and provide a clear, open and transparent framework in which teams can deliver. Adapt, reflect and be resilient. See outside of the process and help teams adhere to agreed minimum viable product (MVP), priorities and scope.
