Job Description Senior Administrator

What You ll Be Doing Cloud Infrastructure Support Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Support infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles. Help manage development, test, and production environments. CI/CD & Release Automation Support the creation, enhancement, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines. Assist development teams in automating build, testing, deployment, and release activities.

Help identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through automation. Platform Engineering Contribute to the operation and enhancement of the API Marketplace platform. Support platform upgrades, configuration changes, and service onboarding activities. Assist in delivering self-service capabilities that improve developer experience. Infrastructure as Code Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code practices using tools such as Terraform. Support automated provisioning and configuration management activities.

Assist in maintaining reusable infrastructure modules and deployment templates. Container & Kubernetes Operations Support containerised workloads running on Kubernetes platforms. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues relating to container deployments. Learn cloud-native deployment and operational best practices. Monitoring & Observability Support platform monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions. Assist in analysing application and infrastructure performance metrics. Help investigate incidents and identify root causes under the guidance of senior engineers.

Operational Support Participate in operational support activities including incident management and problem resolution. Assist in maintaining platform availability, performance, and reliability. Support regular maintenance and operational improvement initiatives. Security & Compliance Apply security-first engineering principles in daily activities. Assist in implementing secure infrastructure configurations and access controls. Help ensure compliance with organisational security and governance requirements. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain technical documentation, operational runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.

Document standard operating procedures and platform configurations. Share knowledge and learning outcomes with team members. Continuous Learning Actively develop knowledge of cloud engineering, Dev Ops tooling, automation, and platform engineering practices. Pursue relevant technical certifications and learning opportunities. Stay up to date with evolving industry trends and technologies.
