About the Role

As a Modern Apprentice, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers to support day‑to‑day IT operations. You’ll assist with troubleshooting, setting up devices, resolving basic technical issues, and providing great service to end‑users. You’ll also undertake structured training provided by an approved apprenticeship provider, helping you build strong foundational skills in IT support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first‑line support to internal and external users
  • Assist with device setup, configuration, software installation, and account creation
  • Help diagnose and resolve common IT issues
  • Log and update support tickets accurately
  • Work professionally with colleagues and customers at varying technical levels

  • Problem‑solving and critical‑thinking approaches
  • ICT and digital literacy competencies
  • Professional behaviours expected in a technical support environment
  • Optional vendor certifications depending on training provider (e.g. Microsoft Azure, CompTIA)
Qualifications & Qualities We’re Looking For
  • Aged 16 or over and eligible for a Modern Apprenticeship
  • No formal qualifications required — just a genuine interest in IT and problem‑solving
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, can‑do attitude
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop new skills
  • Ability to work well with others and provide friendly, professional support
  • Basic familiarity with computers, devices, or technology (preferred but not essential)
What We Offer
  • A supportive environment to kick‑start your IT career
  • Structured learning via an approved apprenticeship provider
  • Industry‑recognised qualification on completion
  • Real workplace experience with opportunities for progression
  • A friendly team committed to helping you grow
