Position: Senior Associate/Associate Solicitor - Construction (Non-Con)

Associate / Senior Associate – Non-Contentious Construction (2–7 PQE) Scotland (Edinburgh or Glasgow) or Remote (UK-based) Permanent - Hybrid / Flexible Working

Conekt Legal is partnering with a leading international law firm to appoint an Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing non-contentious construction team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a construction lawyer seeking exposure to high-quality UK and international projects across the real estate development and investment, energy, transport and infrastructure sectors.

The Opportunity

You will join a collaborative, UK-wide team advising a diverse client base including developers, SPVs, owners, lenders, contractors and equipment suppliers.

Depending on experience level, you will:

  • Lead and support on a wide range of complex construction & engineering transactions, projects and advisory work
  • Draft and negotiate construction contracts (including main standard forms), consultant appointments and collateral warranties
  • Build and manage client relationships
  • Contribute to sector knowledge and business development initiatives

The role offers meaningful responsibility, cross-office collaboration and the opportunity to develop sector expertise within major infrastructure and development projects.

About You

You will ideally have:

  • 2–7 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction
  • Strong drafting and negotiation experience across construction documentation
  • Experience in real estate development, energy and/or infrastructure projects (desirable but not essential)
  • Qualification in Scotland or England & Wales preferred
  • You will be commercially minded, confident in managing matters, and keen to play an active role in a growing and ambitious team.
