I’m working with a highly respected international law firm that is looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Associate to its Real Estate team in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced real estate lawyer to take on high‑value, complex work within a market‑leading practice.
The OpportunityMy client is seeking a solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ post‑qualification experience in real estate. The successful candidate will work on significant property transactions for major investors, developers, and corporate occupiers.
This is an ideal role for someone ready to step into a senior position with real autonomy, clear progression opportunities, and strong visibility within a high-performing team.
The TeamYou’ll be joining a successful and collaborative Real Estate group known for delivering premium-quality work across Scotland. The team advises on:
- Acquisitions and disposals
- Leasing and ongoing asset management
- Real estate aspects of wider corporate and finance transactions

Key ResponsibilitiesIn this Senior/Principal Associate role, you will:
- Advise on the full range of real estate matters
- Draft, review and negotiate leases, contracts and ancillary documents
- Lead transactions from start to finish
- Build and manage strong client relationships
- Support the development of junior colleagues through supervision and mentoring
The firm is looking for someone who is:
- A qualified solicitor in Scotland with 5+ years’ PQE in real estate
- Experienced in guiding and mentoring junior team members
- Strong in drafting and negotiation
- Skilled at managing multiple matters simultaneously
- Commercially minded, proactive and client‑focused
- A confident communicator and collaborative team player
