Paralegal

TC Young are looking to strengthen their Property team with the appointment of a Paralegal, to be based in our Edinburgh office.

This role is full-time and would suit an individual looking to progress their career in a supportive and forward-thinking firm. The successful individual will enjoy an interesting mix of work, dealing with a variety of a variety of conveyancing and leasing transactions.

Key responsibilities…

• Managing own workload to meet client deadlines
• Dealing promptly with client instructions
• Managing property and leasing transactions.
• Liaising with our Estate Agent and dealing with ESPC matters.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties.
• Pro-actively attending to file management
• Providing support to other members of the Property team

What we are looking for ….

• A registered paralegal, preferably with 1-year relevant experience.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred, dealing with purchase and sale transactions, title queries (in both sasine and Land Registers), notices of potential liability.
• Excellent communication skills – written & oral;
• Ability to prioritise and manage case load effectively
• Strong business awareness of deadlines and working under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail
