Contextual OverviewAn established professional services organization via Frost Legal is seeking a lawyer with pensions experience to join its in-house legal team as Legal Counsel with flexible working options in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
Key Eligibility Criteria- Pensions knowledge gained through a training contract, private practice, or financial services organization.
- Sound legal judgment and a willingness to learn.
- Previous dispute resolution experience is not mandatory; development support is provided.
- Act as a trusted internal adviser helping colleagues understand and resolve legal issues.
- Provide practical advice on disputes and potential disputes.
- Investigate issues and recommend actionable solutions.
- Collaborate with business and client teams to manage legal risk.
- Draft legal documents and coordinate with external lawyers when necessary.
- Support complaints involving the Pensions Ombudsman and Financial Ombudsman Service.
