Family Solicitor

Service Care Soltuion is working on a excellent opportunity that has arisen for a Family Law Solicitor to join a well-established and highly regarded legal practice based in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Family Law Department, working within a supportive and collaborative environment with genuine opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will ideally have between two and five years’ post-qualification experience and be confident managing their own caseload with minimal supervision.

You will have the opportunity to work on a varied range of family law matters, including complex financial provision cases, while contributing to the continued growth and success of the department.

• Manage your own caseload of family law matters with minimal supervision.
• Provide clear, practical and commercially minded legal advice to clients.
• Handle financial provision matters, including high-net-worth and complex cases.
• Maintain strong client relationships and deliver an excellent standard of client care.
• Undertake court-related work, including Sheriff Court proceedings.

• 2–5 years’ PQE in family law.
• The ability to manage a caseload independently and work with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of Scottish family law and relevant court procedures.
• Experience dealing with financial provision, ideally involving high-net-worth individuals or complex matters.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and client relationship skills.
• Accreditation as a family law specialist with the Law Society of Scotland would be advantageous.
• Candidates who are not yet accredited should be willing to work towards achieving this.
• Knowledge of Court of Session procedures would also be beneficial.
