Professional Indemnity Solicitor | Edinburgh | Salary guide up to £75,000
Cape Clarke is inviting enquiries from Scottish-qualified solicitors interested in professional indemnity and professional negligence opportunities in Edinburgh. Around 1–5 PQE is a guide, with relevant insurance or commercial litigation experience of particular interest.
The work concerns claims arising from professional advice and services. Relevant experience includes investigating alleged negligence, assessing causation and loss, preparing advice and litigation documents and working with insurers, professional clients, experts and counsel. A sound understanding of Scots civil procedure is important.
You should have strong analytical and drafting skills and a practical approach to litigation risk, costs and settlement. The balance between assisting on complex matters and taking responsibility for your own files will depend on your background and the particular role.
The indicative salary guide is up to £75,000, depending on the firm, experience and responsibility. Specific vacancies, approved salary budgets and working arrangements will be discussed confidentially.
