Supply Chain Analyst, EMEA – Healthcare, Edinburgh, UK

We are looking for a Supply Chain Analyst where the key focus of the role will be to ensure uninterrupted supply of our products for the EMEA region.

In this role, you will be the ‘go-to’ person for all supply related queries: i.e. supply status vs demand, inventory days of cover, phase in / phase out of products etc.

To be successful in this role you will require experience in managing multiple SKUs from multiple locations, and have the ability to create processes which drive clarity of supply & mitigate impact to customer orders.

Experience in building a robust pipeline of supply & mitigating the need for expedited shipments is vital. Taking ownership of supply & optimizing inventory levels for the region will be a core focus.

In this role you will engage with multiple teams across the business, have excellent communication skills and a solution‑orientated mindset.

Using and setting up MRP systems to optimize processes will be required – standardisation & simplification of processes will be the foundation on which we build our ways of working.

  • You will manage daily supply planning, purchasing, and inventory optimisation needs for the EMEA region
  • You will build and monitor inventory projections
  • You will collaborate closely with warehouse & transport teams to ensure timely receipt and release of inventory
  • You will evaluate and minimise excess & obsolete inventory: manage product phase‑outs and short‑dated product lots
  • You will manage new product launches ensuring timely arrival of inventory to meet customers’ needs
  • You will escalated risks associated with SKU prioritisation or product changes and coordinate mitigation strategies to meet delivery milestones
  • You will process purchase orders to manufacturing plants in line with inventory requirements
  • You will implement global product changes applicable to the EMEA region
  • You will work with Demand Planning and Forecasting teams to improve forecast accuracy and reduce stockouts due to demand/supply misalignment
  • You will support the development of reports and dashboards for EMEA Planning and the wider EMEA Supply Chain team, and drive MRP system use to ensure a solid foundation for our planning activity
What Makes You Successful
  • 2‑5 years of relevant demand & supply planning experience
  • Expertise using MS programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) & Business Intelligence & Analytics Software (Tableau, Power BI, etc.) is a pre‑requisite for this position
  • Experience using Advanced Planning software (Anaplan, Kinaxis, JDA, etc.) would be advantageous
  • The ability to collate, analyse, simplify, present & then use data to make key decisions is vital to the role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the capacity to interface comfortably with peers & management
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a structured and driven way
